Reaxa Achieves ISO9001:2008

Manchester, United Kingdom, 7th August 2009 - Pharma catalyst technologies company Reaxa (Manchester, UK) has attained accreditation to the Quality Management standard ISO 9001:2008.

The achievement follows a recent audit of business systems and procedures by independent external auditors ISOQAR, UK.

Certification covers Reaxa’s business activities in the development and manufacture of supported catalysts and scavengers for the life sciences, fine chemicals and speciality chemicals industries.

The approval complements the company’s growth over the last year, where investment has been made to strengthen key areas of the business, including the supply chain and manufacturing capabilities in response to the growing demand for its products.

Commenting on the achievement, Reaxa CEO Dr. Pete Jackson said: “This is an excellent accomplishment and milestone for Reaxa, resulting from many months of great teamwork by all the staff.

“The achievement of ISO 9001:2008 certification delivers key assurances to customers that use Reaxa products in manufacturing campaigns under Good Manufacturing Practice - and underpins our commitment to sustaining the highest quality of products and services.”

Reaxa’s “reduce and recover” strategy helps to minimise consumption and process loss of high-cost precious metals widely used in pharma catalysis - thereby meeting regulatory, environmental and cost agendas in drug development and commercial scale production. With market acceptance of the company’s differentiated range of QuadraPure™ (polymer) and QuadraSil™ (silica) scavengers, Reaxa is now the market leader in metal extraction and purification technology for pharma manufacturing.
